Fall Family Session in Elm Springs
There’s just something about the Mee family that makes my heart so happy every time I see them in front of my camera. From the moment they booked their fall family session months in advance, I knew we were in for a treat. Even though the trees weren’t showing off their full autumn colors quite yet, they trusted me to bring the golden tones of fall into their images during editing—and I’m so glad they did. Their gallery turned out to be everything you imagine when you think of cozy fall family photos.
The Mee family is as happy-go-lucky as they come. Zach and Catherine are the kind of people who radiate joy, and little Max is the sweetest mix of bashful and adventurous. At just one year old, he’s already full of personality—quick with giggles, curious about everything, and happiest when he’s exploring. During their session, he was so playful, whether it was being tossed in the air, hanging upside down in dad’s arms, or collecting leaves in his tiny hands. His bright little smile and those twinkling eyes stole the show.
This time, instead of the studio (where I last photographed them in Tontitown), they chose a stunning outdoor location in Elm Springs. The park offered a tucked-away creek surrounded by trees, giving us a private, peaceful backdrop. It was the perfect spot for a family that loves to be outdoors and enjoys simple, playful moments together. We walked, we played, we laughed—and the photos capture exactly who they are right now: a young family full of love, laughter, and joy.
One of my favorite things about working with the Mee family is how much trust they place in me. They never come with a rigid shot list—they just want me to capture their love and the story of their family as it naturally unfolds. That kind of openness makes for the best sessions, where the smiles are genuine, the moments are real, and the memories are something they’ll hold onto forever.
I know these images will not only make the perfect Christmas card this year but will also serve as timeless keepsakes of Max at this fun stage of life.
