His parents chose my monochromatic balloon setup for his session, which means everything—from the backdrop to the balloons—was perfectly coordinated in soft, matching tones. Capturing Special Family Moments

From the moment his family arrived, I could tell this was going to be a special one-year milestone session. Daniel’s parents described their family as friendly, kind, and funny—and they truly are! They were so attentive and full of smiles, helping keep Daniel giggling through every pose. We breezed through his setup quickly because he was just that happy of a little guy.

Since this was Daniel’s very first professional photo session, his parents wanted to make it meaningful. Their main goal was to capture beautiful memories from their first year and turn them into high-quality framed photos and keepsakes—something they can cherish for years to come. And of course, we made sure to include a few portraits with mom and dad, too, because those cuddly family shots always make my heart melt.

Highlighting Daniel’s Personality

One of my favorite parts of milestone sessions is seeing each child’s unique personality shine through. Daniel’s parents shared that he loves his dad’s silly faces, toys that light up, and anything that makes noise. He also loves music and water—so naturally, there were plenty of smiles and giggles during his shoot.

After we wrapped up, Daniel’s parents decided to take the balloon garland home, which I absolutely love. It’s such a fun way to keep the celebration going once the photos are done!
