The Perfect Ending to My 2025 Fall Season
There’s something really special about ending a season with a family who brings pure joy, kindness, and the easiest smiles. The Hansen family was my very last Northwest Arkansas fall family session of 2025, and honestly, I couldn’t have chosen a sweeter group to wrap up the year with. Their session was scheduled at the last minute, but you would have never known—everything just fell perfectly into place.
A Family Full of Joy
From the moment they stepped out of the car, Emery, Drake, and Bear were absolutely glowing. They arrived ready to have fun, ready to listen, and ready to make some beautiful memories. And when a family tells me their boys laugh at poop jokes… well, let’s just say we didn’t even need to use that trick. They were all smiles from beginning to end, with no bribing required.
The Hansens described themselves as a family who loves to laugh, loves the Lord, and loves meeting new people. I felt that immediately. Mom and Dad brought such a calm, joyful presence to the session, and the kids naturally reflected that energy. Everyone was relaxed, connected, and genuinely excited to spend time together. It’s exactly the kind of atmosphere every photographer hopes for.
Golden Hour Magic
We photographed their session during golden hour with the last beautiful hints of fall color still clinging to the trees—the warm, cozy backdrop Laurel had been hoping for.
Emery looked adorable, proudly showing off her newly missing front teeth. Drake and Bear looked handsome in their sweaters and jeans, perfectly balancing “Sunday best” with adventurous little boy energy. Best of all, they listened so well throughout the entire session, making everything flow effortlessly.
